The procedures are safe from a medical point of view. The complication rates for treatment are 0.5%, which is on par with contact lenses. The LASIK procedure has been used millions of times and was officially recognized as a healing method as early as 1999. Only the surface of the eye is treated. The eye is not opened with this procedure.

The ideal method for correcting defective vision (e.g. LASEK & PRK, LASIK) depends, among other things, on

the corneal thickness and structure
the pupil diameter
presbyopia

As a rule, full vision is already given directly after the treatment. By the next day at the latest, the patient will see much better. The complete healing process takes a few weeks at most. Work on the PC can already be done the next day. After 1-3 days, the full ability to work is usually established.
