The eyes are our most important sense and give us more than 80% of our environment. Poor vision affects our perception and permanently impairs our quality of life. Be it in the morning at the first glance of the clock, putting in contact lenses or even in sports; visual defects are present everywhere.
Refractive laser surgery offers the possibility to correct various visual defects and provides you with a clear vision to experience our world.
Light rays that reach the eye are focused by the cornea and the lens and focused onto the retina. The retina is the point of sharpest vision. There they are converted into electrical impulses by receptors and transmitted via the optic nerve to the brain. These impulses are collected together in the brain to form an image. It is so similar to a camera: the eye acts as a recorder – and the images are “developed” in the brain.
